Questions Owners Ask

Straight answers for owners thinking about a sale.

Every answer below is short on purpose. If your question is not here, ask us at the bottom of this page.

How a Sale Works

The first questions most owners ask us.

01

Do you keep my team?

Yes.

The team is a large part of what we are buying. Changes, if any, are slow and honest. The people who built the business with you matter to its value.

02

How long does a sale take?

Once terms are agreed, we aim to close in four to eight weeks.

You can have a first conversation this week. We will give you a clear sense of timing before you commit to anything.

03

Do I need a broker?

No.

You can use one if you wish. Most owners who come to us prefer to keep the fee and deal with us directly. The choice stays with you from the first call.

04

What does it cost me?

Nothing.

We charge sellers no fees, ever. There is no fee for a first conversation. There is no fee for an offer.

05

Is the conversation confidential?

Yes.

Nothing is listed and nothing is announced. Your staff hears it from you, when you choose. We keep early talks private while you decide what comes next.

Price and Fit

How we value a business and what fits our criteria.

06

How do you decide what my business is worth?

We work from real numbers.

We start with your tax returns. We tell you the price the deal can support and why. You hear the reasoning in plain words before you decide.

07

What size businesses do you buy?

We buy companies doing $1M to $10M a year in revenue.

Each one needs $300K and up in cash flow we can verify. If you sit near those lines, a short conversation will tell us both if there is a fit.

08

What kinds of businesses do you buy?

Staffing and service businesses lead our list.

Consulting firms get our attention too. Software and SaaS companies are considered case by case. Tell us what you run and we will tell you plainly if it fits.

09

Where do you buy?

We buy anywhere in the continental United States.

Location alone does not rule a business out. The fit of the business matters more than the state it sits in.

10

My business runs on a license I hold. Can you still buy it?

It depends on whether the business can run under a qualified member of your team.

If everything hinges on your personal license, it may not fit. We will tell you early and plainly. That answer comes before you spend time on a full process.

After the Sale and Your Advisors

What stays the same and who can bring us a deal.

11

Will you change the name or move the business?

No.

The team and the name are the value in any deal we put together. Protecting both is part of the deal. Its home stays where it is.

12

I have a broker, CPA, or attorney. Will you work with them?

Yes.

Bring us a business that fits our criteria. We respond within two business days, and we protect your fee. We are glad to work through you from the first call.

Still have a question?

Ask us in private and we will answer plainly. No pressure follows from a first note.
